The resort itself covers 150 private acres and functions as the infrastructure layer (lodging, supplies, and rental machines), for trail access that is actually permitted on state WMA land, requiring a separate Tennessee TWRA High Impact Habitat Conservation Permit. The WMA trail network is not manicured trail park terrain: the Royal Blue and Sundquist units are working wildlife management land with rough forest roads, undeveloped creek crossings, and the genuine backcountry character of 200,000 uncrowded acres in coal-country Tennessee. The resort side of the operation is well-developed: 100+ RV sites, 60 cabin configurations from primitive to full-amenity, bathhouses, a general store for fuel and supplies, a restaurant, and a Polaris Adventures fleet for rental machines. The combination of developed resort infrastructure and genuine WMA backcountry scale makes Ride Royal Blue one of the most complete multi-day OHV destinations in the state (423-784-9445).
